How to Make Slime
There are many ways to make slime, but here is a simple recipe for making slime using borax and glue:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup white school glue
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon borax powder
- 1 Food coloring (optional)
- 1 Glitter or confetti (optional)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue and 1 cup of warm water. Stir until well combined. In a separate small bowl, combine 1/2 teaspoon of borax powder and 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir until the borax is dissolved. Slowly pour the borax solution into the glue mixture, stirring constantly. Keep stirring until the mixture starts to thicken and pull away from the sides of the bowl. Once the slime starts to form, knead it with your hands until it becomes smooth and stretchy. If desired, you can add food coloring or glitter to the slime. Store the slime in an airtight container when not in use. Note: Please be aware that some people may have an allergic reaction to borax or other slime ingredients, so it’s always best to use caution and make sure to supervise children when making and playing with slime.
Here is a modified version of the slime recipe using metric units:
Ingredients:

Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine 250ml of white school glue and 250ml of warm water. Stir until well combined. In a separate small bowl, combine 2.5ml of borax powder and 125ml of warm water. Please note that measurement may vary depending on the desired consistency of the slime.
