10 Games for Kids and Their Friends
No toys? Here are a few games that kids can play with their friends.
- Tag: A classic game where one player is “it” and tries to tag other players, who then become “it”.
- Red Light, Green Light: A game where players take turns being the person in charge who calls out “green light” or “red light” and players have to freeze or move accordingly.
- Simon Says: A game where players follow the commands of the person who is “Simon” but only if the command starts with “Simon says”.
- Capture the Flag: A team game where players try to capture the other team’s flag while protecting their own.
- Duck, Duck, Goose: A game where players sit in a circle and one player walks around tapping others on the head saying “duck, duck, goose” and then trying to run around the circle before the tapped player catches them.
- Red Rover: A game where players form two lines and take turns trying to break through the other team’s line by calling out “Red Rover, Red Rover, send [name] right over”.
- Hopscotch: A game where players throw a small object into numbered squares drawn on the ground and then hop or jump through the squares to retrieve it.
