BrainPOP
Children can learn about a variety of topics with BrainPOP, an online educational resource that offers animated films, interactive quizzes, and other tools. Science, social sciences, English, math, health, technology, engineering, and the arts are just a few of the themes that are covered in the films. Children can evaluate their learning and reinforce what they have learnt by using the quizzes and other interactive materials. Although BrainPOP is available for personal use, it is designed for use in classrooms. The website is subscription-based and geared toward educational usage, but it also provides a small amount of content for free. The goal of BrainPOP is to foster critical thinking in kids in grades K–12 and lay the groundwork for lifelong learning.
Sofia’s school uses BrainPOP, and I enjoy the style of videos and materials they provide.
